The Care Centre is very pleased to announce an exciting matching gift opportunity
A successful business owner, a philanthropist and a long-term generous donor of the Care Centre, Jim Cardinal along with his sons Andrew Cardinal and Jimmy Cardinal Jr. have set up a donor matching fund to help the Care Centre address urgent priority needs. All new donations, received at the Care Centre this year will be matched dollar for dollar up to $40,000 by Jim, Andrew and Jimmy Cardinal.
“The Care Centre serves a vital community need – it takes care of our frailest seniors. It gives them a warm home, loving care and support. Looking back at the beginning of the Care Centre, it was our community coming together which made the Care Centre possible. I strongly believe that giving together, each of us what we can, is what makes us part of a strong community of caring and compassionate individuals who leave no one behind. Together, we can help the Care Centre continue to be our great community home for our frailest seniors!” says Jim Cardinal.
It is the first time that the Care Centre has been the recipient of a matching gift donation.
“We are faced with growing challenges to deliver more specialized care that requires medical equipment and new technical capacities. At the same time, as our building is over 21 years old, the need for building upgrades, repair and renovations is growing – from the old furniture to the roof and the parking area. This requires investments far beyond the support we receive from our government. The matching gift fund will give us a unique opportunity to double the donations of our donors and address our most pressing priorities,” says Sandy Lomaszewycz, Executive Director.
Donate today and your gift will go twice as far in making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable seniors!
